About the Job: As a Sr. Network Engineer at Black Box, you will have ownership and responsibility for medium and high user impact network technologies. Your role will involve designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Black Box’s communications networks, including LAN/WAN, internet access, network security, remote access, and all related telecommunications hardware and software components. You will also design, implement, maintain, and support secure business-to-business and external communications networks between Black Box and external organizations. Your tasks will include providing third-tier support by working directly with vendors, service providers, end-users, and other IT personnel to isolate and resolve network hardware and related software communications issues. Collaboration with manufacturers, vendors, and service providers will be essential to recommend and implement upgrades and enhancements to improve network performance and compatibility. Additionally, you will examine projects for security concerns and provide reasonable solutions while performing any further duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: You should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong analytical thinking and organizational skills. Being capable of handling complex issues and balancing multiple projects is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in basic to intermediate computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office, is required, and a current driver’s license and/or passport is necessary. You should also be prepared to work overtime as necessary. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS) or equivalent education and work experience is required, along with 7-10 years of experience in supporting enterprise networks.
