Position

Aspen Technology is seeking a Sr. Principal Solution Consultant to join our team. You will leverage your expertise in subsurface modeling to deliver technical demonstrations, knowledge transfer, and specialized support to customers utilizing AspenTech SSE solutions. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the sales team to support pre-sales activities, prepare technical specifications, and contribute to building a robust pipeline to drive new business and contract renewals.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Expertise and Cross-Domain Collaboration: Lead pre-sales activities within AspenTech SSE’s G&G Modeling domain, providing comprehensive technical support to the sales team, including tailored demonstrations and tender documentation.

  • Sales and PCS Contract Renewal: Assist with PCS contract renewals and account growth, providing technical insights to secure renewals and expand contract scope.

  • Opportunity Identification and Customer Value Enhancement: Proactively identify opportunities for increased customer engagement and value, recommend features or new modules, and communicate upsell opportunities.

  • Pipeline Growth and Renewals: Grow the sales pipeline through technical update sessions and facilitate the adoption of cross-domain solutions.

  • Client Support for Complex Challenges: Offer solutions for complex modeling issues and ensure client satisfaction through effective resource management.

  • Building and Maintaining Strategic Relationships: Establish influential relationships with key customer stakeholders, contributing to project success.

  • Technical Knowledge Transfer and Demonstrations: Deliver hands-on guidance and prepare technical demonstrations showcasing software capabilities.

  • Customer Onboarding and Continuous Training: Develop best practices for customer onboarding and assist in training sessions for continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: MSc or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Experience and Technical Skills: 10-15 years in geological modeling, with hands-on experience in SKUA or RMS mandatory.

  • Sales and Pre-Sales Collaboration: Proven experience in pre-sales support with exposure to clients in the Middle East.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English are mandatory.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments for project support.

  • Customer Engagement: Expertise in delivering customer training and workshops.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of geoscience software and geological modeling technologies.

Competency Expectations:

  • Expert-level knowledge of AspenTech subsurface solutions (Aspen SKUA/Aspen RMS).
  • Strategic communication and ability to influence high-level stakeholders.
  • Mastery in consultative sales conversations and managing strategic accounts.
  • Strong ownership and advanced forecasting skills aligned with regional sales strategy.
