As a Sr. QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team charged with the development of premium crypto products for traders, institutions, and newcomers.
The team works fully remotely, with members across 70+ countries and who speak over 50 languages. The Pro team manages the trading backend services, which include the matching engine, market data gateways, internal and external APIs, and various other trading services. This team recently played a critical role in scaling the company's trading infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive test plans before feature development, defining both manual and automated testing strategies.
- Perform hands-on manual testing during development cycles to validate new features before automation.
- Balance manual exploratory testing with automation to catch edge cases that scripts may miss.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to define QA processes for the trading platform.
- Lead end-to-end automation initiatives: strategy, implementation, CI/CD integration, and scaling coverage.
- Drive performance, security, and accessibility testing to enhance the user experience for traders.
- Document, report, and triage bugs to improve release quality and velocity.
Skills Required:
- Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or another automation-oriented language.
- Understanding of trading concepts such as order types, trade execution, and margin trading.
- Proven ability to design comprehensive test plans, distinguishing between manual and automated testing.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for complex applications.
- Strong manual testing skills with a creative approach to uncovering edge cases and unexpected bugs.
- Solid understanding of QA principles, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and bug tracking.
- Comfort with CI/CD integration and automation at scale.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for building high-quality software.
