About the Role
REMAYA aids clients in verifying and validating the performance of their platforms and systems through rigorous test and evaluation practices. We apply scientific methodologies and Systems-Engineering principles to gather critical performance data on test platforms, offering users an evidence base to make well-informed, data-led decisions about their platforms and systems. REMAYA operates a secure test and evaluation facility, known as XRANGE, which provides over 350 km² of test range area and up to 10,000 ft of airspace for the assessment of platforms and systems in operationally realistic conditions and scenarios. Our facility is open year-round to both UAE and international clients, supported by dedicated infrastructure and advanced instrumentation to provide a unique testing environment in the Middle East. Our expert engineering teams aid clients with trials planning and advisory services across their product lifecycle, from concept to in-service upgrades. Additionally, REMAYA deploys mobile instrumentation and support services directly to clients, offering mobile test and evaluation range support both in the UAE and globally.
Key Accountabilities:
Test Range Setup and Maintenance:
- Prepare test sites by setting up equipment, barriers, targets, and other necessary materials.
- Collaborate with Engineering Services to set up and support the deployment of testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of test range facilities and equipment.
Services Infrastructure:
- Work with the Operations team, RCOs, and SMEs to ensure that client-booked temporary infrastructure is in place.
- Provide technical support for ad-hoc builds and targetry, including any mechanical/electrical work necessary.
- Ensure clients are supported with hygiene units, fresh water, AC, and power.
Test Operations:
- Operate a variety of testing equipment and systems as required for specific tests.
- Assist in conducting tests, including vehicle, ballistic, environmental, or other specialized tests.
- Record commercial data and observations during tests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all test setup activity complies with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Ensure relevant documentation is completed for the deployment of targets, facilities, and field support services as booked by clients.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all test activities and services delivered.
- Maintain a log of all support equipment, its condition, and arrange for any upkeep or upgrade as required.
- Assist in preparing technical reports and summaries for review by engineers and management.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with engineers, clients, and technical staff to plan and execute support services for tests.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding test plans, progress, and issues.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input based on test range operations.
Equipment and Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of test range equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinate procurement and replacement of equipment and materials as needed.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor usage and maintain adequate stock levels.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Diploma degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance roles, preferably within a defense, range, or test environment.
- Arabic speaker, fluent in English.
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Mechanical and electrical capability for field repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a testing environment.
- Physically fit due to environmental challenges.
- Able to drive multiple types of vehicles.
