About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer, with both network and systems administration depth, to support a partner company effort as a technical Field Service Representative (FSR) for the Kuwaiti Air Force’s Air Operations Center (AOC) Modernized Replacement System Program, a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiative. The program aims to provide integrated air and missile defense command and control (C2), planning, coordination, execution management, and integration across various operations centers. This role involves installing and sustaining three command and control (C2) instances during an extended assignment in Kuwait City.

Program Objectives:
- Secure Network IT Infrastructure: Enable Partner Nation Classified data exchange.
- Virtualized Warfare Mission Applications: Deliver applications for mission execution.
- Integrated Air and Missile Situational Awareness: Enhance threat and engagement management.
- Battle Management Decision Aids: Support engagement monitoring and direction as per CONOPS.
- Comprehensive Training: Provide training on system usage and operations.
- Interim Contractor Support (ICS): Ensure continued operational support.
Candidate will spend: Approx. 1 Year in Kuwait City, November 2026 - November 2027, with day travel to other Kuwaiti Air Force sites. A further 3-6-month extension may be available into early 2028.
Tasks:
- Operate, administer, and maintain the system on-site, and when needed, leverage the US-based “reachback” technical solution team.
- Identify and resolve field issues, facilitate end-user training.
- Maintain spares, manage upgrades, and comply with configuration control.
- Document and track system anomalies and deficiencies.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years in Systems Engineering/Network Architecture & Design – LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise network design.
- Network Security – Secure network design, hardening, compliance, cybersecurity integration, classified/unclassified separation, and VDI.
- Network Implementation & Integration – Installation/configuration of Cisco and Palo Alto equipment, system integration, testing, and verification.
- A CCNA (or other industry-benchmark network/systems administration certifications) is desirable.
- Systems Administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, RHEL, and subsystems.
- Experience in C4I systems, including AV Systems, Radar Systems, GBAD Systems, Link-16, VCS, and IT hardware support in DoD/military programs.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred. Associate degrees, relevant job experience, and certifications may be considered.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen with a valid US passport and visa.
- Clearance: Minimum DoD Secret clearance.
- Technical Proficiency: Cisco networking, VPN configurations, VoIP, VMware, Linux/Unix, Windows Server, Cisco ISE, STIGs, ACAS, HBSS.

- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT II level IA Certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+).
