In this role, you will work with our customers to resolve problems and provide consultation on AspenTech Engineering software such as Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing loyalty-inspiring customer service that drives user engagement and sustains product usage.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical or engineering-related problems reported by customers using AspenTech’s proprietary software.
- Tracking work in a CRM system and escalating customer issues to drive resolution cross-functionally within AspenTech.
- Delivering high-quality intermediate/advanced level training classes to customers based on engineering principles and industrial processes.
- Developing and maintaining customer focused training materials for new releases and applications.
- Conducting pre-sales consultations to identify prospects’ business problems and articulate AspenTech’s products as solutions.
- Building strong trusted advisor relationships with customers to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Collaborating with various AspenTech functions to maintain and develop business opportunities.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in AspenTech’s pre-release software testing program to improve product quality.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to maximize their contributions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience preferred (university experience may count).
- Previous experience with AspenTech software or similar tools is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in chemical and manufacturing business processes in refining, chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel (usually less than 25%, may occasionally involve international travel).
