The Role:
This position is within the Customer Success and Training (CS&T) department and is vital in improving customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will provide a high level of technical support and training to internal and external customers, with a focus on driving the adoption and usage of the company’s solutions and enhancing work practices.

Your Impact:

  • Provide loyalty-inspiring customer service that drives user engagement and sustains product usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and engineering-related problems reported by customers using the company’s proprietary software (e.g., Aspen TEMPEST).
  • Escalate customer issues and drive resolution cross-functionally within the company.
  • Deliver high-quality intermediate/advanced-level training classes based on geosciences and upstream workflows.
  • Develop and maintain customer-focused training materials for new releases and applications.
  • Conduct pre-sales consultations to identify business problems and articulate the company’s products as solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers to understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with other company functions to maintain and develop business opportunities.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in the company’s pre-release software testing program.
  • Coach fellow team members to enhance their technical skills.
  • Conduct health checks on assigned accounts, provide onsite support and consultancy, and author technical white papers for the company’s web knowledge base.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • 3+ years of reservoir engineering experience with proficiency in Aspen Tempest or related applications.
  • Solid understanding of petroleum/reservoir engineering workflows and knowledge of asset optimization, modelling, and simulation software suites (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, IX, CMG, tNav, Mbal, Prosper, GAP).
  • Detail-oriented with hands-on problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work well in diverse teams composed of people with varied backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • English language proficiency is mandatory (additional language skills are beneficial).
  • Ability to travel internationally.
