This position involves collaborating closely with Data Leads, Delivery Leads, and the Chapter head to drive the Data Management and Analytics vision and strategy, delivering consistent data capabilities across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- DevOps and CI/CD: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitOps.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Infrastructure Management: Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Big Data Solutions: Architect and implement big data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Distributed Systems: Design and manage distributed data architectures to optimize data processing and storage.
- Collaboration: Work with development, operations, and data teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions and optimize system performance.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in big data engineering or a related role, with a minimum of 3 years specifically in data engineering and architecture.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitOps)
- Strong experience with containerization tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, ETLs)
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, strong communication, and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or big data technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
