As a member of the SRE team, you will operate our OpenStack private cloud and develop tools and integrations for cloud infrastructure services. The role involves using OpenStack knowledge to drive operational improvements and utilizing open-source observability tooling for proactive alerting to maintain Service Level Objectives.
Location: Saudi Arabia
Work Conditions: Full-time, On-site
Language Requirements: Arabic language skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver software to improve applications and cloud platforms using a DevOps model for OpenStack.
- Automate development, testing, and deployment processes via CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitLab, Helm, ArgoCD).
- Collaborate with Tier 1 support on escalations and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
- Work with software engineering teams to enhance application performance and reliability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve systems and processes for better reliability, performance, and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in SRE and DevOps.
Job Requirements:
- Solid OpenStack cloud infrastructure background and problem-solving experience.
- Experience with software development life cycles, including development and deployment.
- Familiarity with major OpenStack components (Keystone, Nova, Neutron, Glance).
- Proficiency in Python for software development and writing patches.
- Experience with software-defined storage, hypervisor technologies, and Linux distributions (Redhat/CentOS).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Jenkins, etc.).
