About the Role
The role involves the splicing and termination of fiber optic cables, alongside the supervision of related works and testing after splicing/termination with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and Power Meter. Key Accountability Areas

  • Splicing: Responsible for the splicing of fiber optic cables using different types of Single-Mode (SM) and Multi-Mode (MM) cables for indoor/outdoor and underground applications, including Optical Ground Wire (OPGW).
  • Cable Preparation: Prepare and arrange fiber optic cables according to industry standards to ensure readiness for splicing.
  • Termination/Connectorization: Perform termination work for fiber optic cables in projects utilizing various connectors (FC, ST, LC, SC) and different termination methods (Hot Melt & Epoxy-Polish).
  • Troubleshooting: Responsible for troubleshooting fiber optic cables post-splicing to identify and rectify any faults so they are ready for final testing.
  • Testing: Conduct local testing with OTDR and Power Meter for fiber optic cables after splicing to confirm readiness for final inspection.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety requirements as directed by main clients.
  • Job Location: Manage fiber optic work across multiple projects throughout the kingdom in collaboration with the team.
  • Supervision: Supervise site teams in the pulling and arranging of fiber optic cables before splicing, ensuring they meet health and safety standards and project requirements.

Academic Qualification

  • Diploma Degree in Electrical Institute.

Work Experience

  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
