Staff Engineer, Development Lifecycle

Canonical is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the effort in making Ubuntu the best choice for mission-critical systems in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial robotics. This role involves transforming complex regulatory demands into concrete engineering outcomes, enhancing processes and practices within the organization.

As a Staff Engineer, you will:

• Lead the cultural shift towards engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to instill agile methodologies.
• Define Canonical's ways of working and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Establish qualification requirements supporting engineering quality standards.
• Develop methods for measuring quality and influence engineering culture.
• Forge strategic relationships with external working groups and partners.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in engineering and process management within an agile context.
