The Opportunity
- Own design from start to finish: discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery, and launch. You are the designer, with full accountability for the results.
- Take products from zero to one, transforming initial ideas or vague problem areas into functional products utilized by consumers.
- Develop new AI products designed for external B2C customers and internal AI solutions that enhance organizational processes.
- Navigate through ambiguous situations, define problems, set directions, and make critical decisions without a detailed brief.
- Design for non-deterministic experiences where system outputs may vary, shaping user interaction with intelligent systems.
- Create visually engaging, innovative work that sets new standards for what AI products can accomplish in terms of design and user experience.
- Collaborate directly with product, engineering, and leadership teams, impacting not only execution but also strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Rapidly prototype to turn ideas into tangible concepts for testing, learning, and iteration.
- Conduct user research, leveraging customer insights and data to inform product development and enhancement post-launch.
- Maintain high standards of craft and user experience in every deliverable.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional design quality and impactful outcomes.
- Proven history of leading the design of products from inception to launch, owning the entire design process.
- Strong product thinking abilities: adept at finding direction amidst ambiguity, making informed decisions with limited information, and adjusting to evolving requirements.
- Previous experience with non-deterministic products, such as AI-powered, generative, or probabilistic systems is highly desirable.
- Robust UX and visual design skills, demonstrating clarity and elegance in solving complex problems.
- Advanced prototyping capabilities to swiftly communicate intricate interactions and ideas.
- Experience in influencing product strategy and participating in cross-functional decision-making processes.
- Strong systems thinking skills, with a talent for creating coherent and scalable user experiences from the ground up.
