As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, launching, and maintaining code in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will encompass both horizontal (platform) and vertical (project/product development) tasks. You will build and maintain infrastructure for advanced AI systems, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), data pipelines, and databases. You will collaborate directly with customers to understand their challenges and create tailored solutions using cutting-edge AI technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, launch, and land code effectively.
- Own features end-to-end, from conception through to launch.
- Engage in coding activities such as prototyping, experimentation, and iterating on search quality.
- Maintain the signals, models, and infrastructure necessary for robust AI solutions.
- Collect and analyze platform performance metrics, focusing on reliability, latency, customer use, experiments, and ML training data.
- Collaborate with domain experts, UX designers, and product managers to align technical solutions with organizational needs while considering resource constraints.
- Work alongside researchers to continuously enhance interfaces based on real-world user feedback.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of experience in software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 4 years of experience in AI, data structures, or algorithms (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and deploying generative LLMs utilizing TensorFlow, XLA/MLIR, JAX, and PyTorch frameworks (mandatory).
- Experience in developing RAG models integrated with vector databases for conversational AI products (mandatory).
- Familiarity with autoregressive sequence models (mandatory).
- In-depth understanding of NLP, LLMs, MLLMs, Generative AI, and RAG workflows (mandatory).
- Experience with external and open-source tech stacks.
