Staff Software Engineer – Growth

You will be part of the Growth Engineering team, responsible for creating engaging experiences that connect new users to our ecosystem, enhancing user acquisition and retention on a global scale.

As a Staff Engineer on the Growth team, you will lead critical technical initiatives, manage complex systems, and mentor fellow engineers to ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement measurable engineering solutions that drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical direction for key growth initiatives, improving onboarding and user engagement.
• Mentor engineers and ensure high engineering standards across the stack, focusing on reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Advocate for craftsmanship, accountability, and technical excellence within the engineering culture.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience leading large-scale technical projects or owning critical systems.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript or Rust; familiarity with other languages like Go, Python, or Ruby is a plus.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a remote-first environment.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is a must; additional languages are beneficial as employees are from diverse backgrounds speaking over 50 languages globally.
