Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of static and rotating equipment on-site.
- Coordinate the installation of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, filters, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and packaged equipment.
- Ensure all equipment positioning, levelling, alignment, grouting, bolting, and installation procedures are carried out according to approved drawings and OEM instructions.
- Read and interpret equipment General Arrangement (GA) drawings, foundation drawings, installation drawings, and vendor documents.
- Verify the readiness of foundations, anchor bolts, baseplates, shims, and equipment supports prior to installation.
- Work with the lifting team to coordinate crane operations, rigging, equipment lifting, and positioning.
- Supervise shaft alignment, coupling checks, soft-foot checks, and relevant installation activities for rotating equipment.
- Ensure the preservation, handling, storage, and protection of equipment during construction phases.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Construction Engineers, QA/QC Inspectors, HSE personnel, commissioning teams, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with method statements, inspection and test plans, Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis/Risk Assessment (JSA/RA), toolbox talks, and HSE requirements set forth by ADNOC.
- Monitor manpower, tools, materials, and equipment to achieve daily construction targets.
- Coordinate inspections, address site issues, and complete punch-list items.
- Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, and equipment installation documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum Criteria / Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in the installation of static and/or rotating equipment within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, or industrial sectors.
- Hands-on experience in supervising equipment installation, alignment, levelling, grouting, and ensuring mechanical completion.
- Familiarity with installing pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and packaged equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting equipment drawings, including foundation and GA drawings, as well as vendor documents.
- Knowledgeable in OEM installation requirements and relevant project specifications.
- Familiarity with lifting and rigging procedures, PTW, JSA/RA, and site HSE protocols.
- Previous experience on ADNOC/UAE or GCC Oil & Gas projects is preferred.
- Strong leadership, coordination of manpower, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
Educational Qualification
- ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, ideally focused on Mechanical Equipment or a closely related discipline.
- Essential hands-on equipment installation experience.
