Storage Backup Administrator

The company is seeking a Storage Backup Administrator to join our team located in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering (preferably in IT or Information Systems) and relevant certifications such as Microsoft, TSM, Veeam, ITIL, or MCSE. We require at least 5–6 years of technical IT experience, specifically a minimum of 5 years in server, storage, and backup systems, including 3+ years as a Backup & Storage Administrator in a large organization. The role demands hands-on experience with EMC & HP storage, NAS/SAN troubleshooting, and backup solutions like TSM, Veeam, and Data Domain.

Key Qualifications include strong knowledge of Windows, Unix, and AIX platforms, experience in backup, recovery, and archiving in large distributed environments, an understanding of PCI DSS, NESA, and IT compliance requirements, as well as ITIL process experience—preferably in organizations with over 500 staff. Candidates should have the ability to handle high-pressure, SLA-driven support cases.

Work conditions include a full-time, on-site position with a willingness to work in a 24/7 environment if needed and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multinational, multidisciplinary team. Language requirements state that candidates must have an excellent command of English, while proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus.
