The Strategic Security Advisor owns business and security outcomes, value realization, and renewal and expansion readiness for a portfolio of strategic customers. Acting as the customer’s trusted security expert, the SSA designs and guides security posture evolution while orchestrating post-sales delivery. The role combines security domain expertise with customer success, translating purchased credits into measurable security outcomes through a Security Account Success Plan (ASP) and architecture-aligned strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Architect the Security Account Success Plan (ASP) and Burn Curve
  • Build the Account Success Plan with customer executives based on objectives and risk landscape
  • Conduct security gap analyses and design reference architectures
  • Lead monthly value reviews and assessments using industry frameworks
  • Manage renewal health and proactively build remediation plans
  • Serve as a coordination point across post-sales engagements

Hard Skills:

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture principles (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, Zero Trust)
  • Deep knowledge in enterprise security domains (SOC operations, SIEM/XDR, identity security, etc.)
  • Ability to translate telemetry data into actionable insights
  • Experience with B2B SaaS and cybersecurity platforms
    Soft Skills:
  • Executive presence and consultative mindset
  • Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator

Experience and Background:

  • Typically 10+ years in security consulting or leadership
  • Proven record in managing enterprise accounts and driving customer security outcomes
  • Experience in automation and AI tool usage is preferred
