Our Grocery & Retail team manages dark stores, third-party grocery delivery, and non-food retail businesses in the UAE. We collaborate with our partners to drive growth, improve performance, and continuously enhance customer experience.
As the scale and complexity of the business increases, the Strategy & Performance function plays a crucial role in shaping market strategy, strengthening Customer Value Proposition (CVP), and embedding performance discipline across Grocery and Retail. This role, based in our Dubai office (hybrid model), works cross-functionally across Commercial, Category, Marketing, Finance, and Product to support growth and execution within the business.
In this position, you will play a central role in enhancing the growth and execution engine of the company’s Grocery & Retail sector in the UAE. Reporting to the Head of Business Planning & Performance, New Verticals, this role combines deep analytical capability with structured execution across market strategy, performance management, and high-impact strategic initiatives.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Owning core components of Grocery & Retail strategy development, including structured analysis and initiative tracking.
- Leading performance diagnostics and building scalable analytical frameworks to identify growth opportunities.
- Overseeing performance governance and monitoring key metrics and trends.
- Designing and institutionalizing structured performance frameworks to drive accountability.
- Partnering with Category Management to develop and scale conversion initiatives.
- Leading high-impact cross-functional projects from diagnosis to execution.
- Providing regular, concise updates on business performance to senior leadership.
What You’ll Need to Thrive:
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, operations, or a high-growth technology environment, demonstrating measurable business impact.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with experience handling large datasets, writing SQL, and querying data in environments like Snowflake.
- Experience building frameworks and dashboards from scratch, coupled with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy, managing workstreams independently.
- Experience in solving complex problems and translating insights into clear, actionable outcomes.
