Your key responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Advise clients on strategic expansions, optimizations, operating model redefinition, feasibility assessments, business planning, financial reporting, market valuations, and transactional considerations.
- Co-develop approaches with clients and agree on value measurements, delivering insights and factual conclusions.
- Support clients in defining their strategic objectives through strategic analysis and facilitate transaction execution.
- Plan, prepare, and review various deliverables, including Excel data books, written reports, presentations, and client discussions.
- Identify opportunities to sell additional services based on the firm’s capabilities and client needs.
Skills and attributes for success
We seek experienced Strategy and Transactions professionals with a strong understanding of the Financial Services Sector (Banking, Insurance, and Asset Management).
Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business alongside 7-12 years of relevant business valuation experience.
- In-depth knowledge of various valuation methodologies, market assessment, feasibility studies, operational and commercial model reviews, financial analysis, capital allocation, and cost/portfolio optimization.
- Expertise in financial modeling, including building models from scratch.
- Strong understanding of the balance sheet structure and operating models of financial services institutions.
- Familiarity with IFRS standards concerning fair value measurements, business combinations, and impairment testing.
Ideally, you’ll also
- Have previous valuation experience in professional services or a Big 4 firm.
- Have achieved or made significant progress towards a CFA designation.
- Possess excellent business development skills.
