Structural Engineer (Calculations)

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural analysis and design, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition and possess a strong understanding of engineering specifications and American design codes, including AISC 360, ASCE 7, and ACI 318.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Utilize STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition for structural modeling and design tasks.
• Ensure designs meet specifications, AISC 360, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and applicable ASTM standards.
• Perform wind, seismic, equipment, piping, and dynamic load assessments.
• Execute structural calculations, connection design, base plate design, and anchor bolt verification using IDEA StatiCa.
• Review structural drawings and coordinate with piping, mechanical, and civil engineering disciplines to ensure compliance and integration across engineering facets.
• Participate in offshore structural design projects and apply knowledge of SACS tools where necessary.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel analysis and design for structures such as pipe racks, equipment-supporting structures, platforms, access structures, and industrial buildings.
• Familiarity with specifications, AISC 360, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and applicable ASTM standards.
• Experience in conducting wind, seismic, equipment, piping, and dynamic load assessments.
• Capable of performing structural calculations and specialized design tasks in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills are essential.
