Submarine Cable Specialist for Hyperscale Data Center

About the Job:
Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Submarine Cable Specialist for a hyperscale Data Center project. A leading telecommunications company in the Middle East is currently working to establish international connectivity between two Data Centers located in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

The role involves support in designing the connectivity requirements from the Data Centers to their respective Points of Presence (POPs) and between these POPs using undersea cables.

Responsibilities:

• Review connectivity requirements from the Data Center to the POP within the country.
• Review design and requirements for the subsea cable from POP to POP (KSA to Italy).
• Assess connectivity requirements at the IPX.

Professional Background Required:

• Telecom engineer with transmission experience.
• Proficient in DWDM and MPLS technologies (applicable to both terrestrial and subsea).
• Experience with long-distance links for Hyperscale type Data Centers.
• Understanding of AI-specific data roads, emphasizing low latency and redundancy.

Work Conditions:

• Hybrid model (combination of on-site in KSA and remote work in Milan).
