Substation Automation (DCS) Engineer executes Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality, cost, and time. This role involves the execution of project design activities in line with the Engineering Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of design engineering activities for the project assigned and will coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities
- Execute the DCS Engineering activities for the projects assigned considering the quality, cost, and time.
- Liaise with other members of a multidisciplinary team to specify and design the project, whilst meeting the required technical standards.
- Control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal/external).
- Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including partner documents.
- Analyze customer technical requirements, prepare and/or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to customer requirements through technical queries.
- Validate design throughout customer acceptance and check the consistency of engineering documents before final release to the customer while managing evolution of customer requirements and associated impacts.
- Approve the technical evaluation of offers from suppliers and support procurement during commercial negotiation for purchase order issuance and during post-order stage.
- Support site organization during site preparation and commissioning stage when required and ensure compliance with quality procedures, work instructions, and processes defined at Unit and project level.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in substation automation
- Basic ability to prepare design documents for substation automation projects
- Good experience in IEC61850 and other substation automation communication protocols
- Ability and willingness to travel 40% across the region.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Ability to conduct FAT with reference to project specification
- Experience with IEC-101 / IEC-104 protocols
- Ability to read, interpret tender/contract documents, schematics, procedures, and policy guidelines
- Knowledge in competitor products is an advantage
