Supplier Quality Engineer

About the Job
In this role, you will manage supplier development to assist key suppliers towards achieving industrial standards of quality assurance, driving improvements and ensuring compliance through supplier audits. You will be expected to develop expertise in your field, contributing to strategy and policy development while acting as a resource for less experienced colleagues. The position requires skilled communication, the ability to influence others, and the judgment to solve complex problems impacting the function.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage supplier development, focusing on quality assurance and driving improvement plans through supplier scorecards.
• Develop specialized expertise and contribute to strategic policy development within your area of responsibility.
• Communicate complex messages effectively and lead small projects with moderate risks, building consensus and explaining sensitive information.
• Use judgment for decision-making on moderately complex tasks, employing technical experience for data analysis.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Sourcing & Supplier Quality Development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Weld Engineer or Non-Destructive Testing qualification.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

• Master’s degree from an accredited technical university.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead projects.
• Capability to document, plan, market, and execute programs with established project management skills.
• Fluency in French.
• In-depth knowledge in areas such as valve repairs, bearing repairs, or pump motor assemblies overhaul.
