The Senior Vice President – Stream Head, Finance Technology is accountable for the strategy, architecture, delivery, support, governance, and transformation of Finance Technology platforms across the company. This role ensures secure, resilient, compliant, and efficient technology services support Finance, Regulatory Reporting, General Ledger, Reconciliation, Management Reporting, Treasury Accounting, Financial Controls, and Data Governance.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Finance Technology roadmap, future-state architecture, and target operating model aligned with the Group CFO organization and business priorities.
- Provide end-to-end ownership across financial accounting and control, financial close, planning and performance management, profitability and funds transfer pricing, OFSAA, regulatory and management reporting, Finance data warehouses, and interfaces with Core Banking, Treasury, Payments, and Channels.
- Lead the Run, Change, and Transform agenda, managing platform availability, statutory deadlines, and regulatory delivery while modernizing and simplifying technology.
- Build and develop a high-performing Finance Technology organization and govern strategic vendors and system integrators.
- Provide strategic Finance Technology leadership for new-country and legal-entity launches, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary Technology partner to Finance leadership, representing Finance Technology in executive, audit, regulatory, and governance forums.
- Govern finance application engineering, APIs, middleware, workflow, integration, and testing automation to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage financial performance against the 2027 Finance Technology operating expenditure and oversee capital expenditure budgets.
Operating Budget
- Govern the Finance Technology operating expenditure of approximately AED 7.01 million.
Staff Management
- Oversee 17 existing Finance Technology resources; plan for a net workforce capacity of 40 to 65+ resources.
Capital Expenditure Budget
- Influence and govern approximately AED 35.11 million of Finance Technology CAPEX and AED 4.50 million of Finance Technology URF funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead OFSAA, planning, profitability, Finance data engineering, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure strong availability, recoverability, performance, capacity, security, and service continuity of critical Finance systems.
- Manage senior stakeholder alignment with Group Finance, Risk, Data, Operations, and Audit.
- Shape Finance Technology strategy for country launches, including data-residency requirements.
- Drive cross-functional solution design, engineering, testing, and delivery in a multi-vendor ecosystem.
- Operate within a complex, regulated environment while ensuring compliance with Central Bank requirements and internal policies.
- Establish executive governance over the Finance Technology portfolio and transformation programs, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
- Own demand prioritization, budgets, and vendor performance; drive cost optimization and strategic investment decisions.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of banking or financial-services technology experience, including at least 8 years in senior leadership roles focused on Finance Technology or enterprise platforms.
- Proven experience in managing Finance Technology applications and large-scale banking transformation initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of banking Finance processes, including General Ledger, regulatory reporting, planning, and financial analytics.
- Strong engineering leadership across APIs, middleware, integration, and cloud technologies, with a focus on disaster recovery and observability.
- Proven ability to improve platform resilience and manage substantial portfolios of distributed teams and vendors.
- Executive communication and stakeholder-management capabilities, with willingness to engage with auditors and regulators.
- Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, change leadership, and people leadership skills.
- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master’s degree in Technology, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred.
- Desirable certifications include PMP, ITIL, AWS, or Azure, and others relevant to Finance Technology management.
