Core Functional Areas:

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
- Design, implement, and operate virtualization infrastructure (primarily VMware).
- Administer multi-platform environments (Windows, Linux, VMware, Microsoft 365).
- Manage server hardware, storage systems, and core services (Domain, File Server, IIS).
- Oversee patching, configuration, and customization of enterprise applications.
- Maintain comprehensive system inventories and documentation.

Security Operations & Risk Governance
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and events.
- Coordinate incident response across internal/external teams.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Manage threat exposure of Azure and on-premises environments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO27001, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Administer endpoint security infrastructure (AV/EDR/Email Filter/Proxy systems).

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery
- Develop, implement, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Perform backup and recovery procedures.
- Establish and follow downtime procedures for issue resolution.
- Design and maintain monitoring dashboards and metric/log aggregation.

Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Evaluate new technologies and provide implementation recommendations.
- Prepare and present executive reports on metrics, incidents, and trends.
- Provide continuous improvement recommendations based on regular assessments.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate security into business processes.
- Conduct security training and policy education for staff.
Technical Environment & Systems:
- Primary Stack: Microsoft (Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM/SCOM, O365, Exchange Online, Teams)
- Virtualization: VMware private cloud infrastructure
- Security Stack: Endpoint protection, email filtering, proxy/reverse proxy systems
- Supporting Systems: Linux servers, call center infrastructure, backup solutions
- Management Tools: Intune (MDM/MAM), monitoring/alerting systems
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified Administrator/Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), ITIL Foundation certification.
- 7+ years in Systems Administration with progressive responsibility.
- Proven experience designing/implementing on-premises solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of compute, storage, networking, security, and identity management.
- Strong PowerShell/automation scripting proficiency.
- Enterprise backup and disaster recovery experience.
