System Administrator

GovCIO is currently hiring for a System Administrator to establish and maintain the smooth operation of computer systems, which includes operating systems, software, and hardware in both networked and stand-alone configurations. Responsibilities include maintaining system integrity, upgrading systems and servers as necessary, creating and documenting new methods to support network/system operations, and consulting with support teams and customers for problem resolution. The role involves coordinating and performing operational and maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifying recurring problems, and planning for the transition to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the efficient running of computer systems including hardware and software maintenance.
• Manage corporate user accounts, mail servers, printer servers, web servers, and firewalls.
• Analyze and troubleshoot military networks, including Microsoft Enterprise Server and Windows Operating Systems.
• Perform software installation, maintenance, and hardware repair for servers and PCs.
• Review and recommend software applications and identify hardware requirements.

Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in design, maintenance, and operation of small to medium networks.
• Must hold a Clearance: Secret.
• High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Certifications needed:
  • Security+
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows 10 or newer
  • MCSA - Windows Server 2012 or newer or MCSA - SQL Server 2012/2014
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) - Mobility
  • MCSE - Data Management and Analytics
