System Security Specialist

As a System Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of server and endpoint environments through server hardening and benchmarking. Your duties will include defining benchmarking standards, implementing and enforcing security configurations, and minimizing security exposure. You will be tasked with disabling unnecessary services, regularly applying security patches, and developing a patch management strategy for timely updates.

Key responsibilities also involve:

• Supporting regular vulnerability assessments and enforcing strong identity and privilege access controls.
• Managing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and permissions on servers and applications.
• Implementing authentication mechanisms such as multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Conducting periodic reconciliation of security controls and enforcing conditional access to critical services.
• Reviewing and updating Group Policy Objects (GPO’s) to align with the latest security baselines.
• Ensuring the management of Linux Redhat OS, VMware environments, and addressing security alerts through analysis and appropriate action.

You will also manage cryptographic controls, ensuring strict encryption for services and data, as well as handling key vaults and certificates.

Qualifications:
Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
• Certifications: MCSE, MCSA 2019, CCNA, MS Azure Administrator, Office 365 Expert, VMware VCP, Linux Redhat
• Minimum 7 years of experience in System and Security Operations

Desirable:

• ITIL certification
