System Support Engineer

Penta Consulting is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive System Support Engineer to join our client's team, supporting a diverse range of clients. This primarily office-based role in Dubai may require travel to customer sites across the UAE as necessary.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 support for IBM Storage technologies, including:
  • IBM Flash Systems
  • IBM Desk Systems
  • IBM Application Library Systems
  • IBM Fusion Solution
  • IBM Elastic Storage Server (ESS)
• Provide L1/L2 support for server and virtualization platforms:
  • VMware virtualization technologies
  • Lenovo servers (essential)
  • Dell and HP servers (preferred)
• Support and troubleshoot IBM Power Systems at L1/L2 levels.
• Respond to technical issues both remotely and on-site, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver high-quality support services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and resolutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices relevant to the role.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar technical support or systems engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
  • IBM Storage and Power Systems
  • VMware virtualization
  • Lenovo, Dell, and HP server hardware
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE for on-site support assignments.
