You will handle the audit logging and reviewing of systems, account management, incident response, and maintain mission-critical equipment to meet operational requirements. Additionally, you will experience dynamic challenges, such as performing software installations, system reconfigurations, and ensuring data backups for catastrophic recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system administration support for assigned systems
- Audit logging, account management, incident response
- Maintain and repair mission system software and IT equipment
- Ensure compliance with DISA Security Technical and Implementation Guides
- Provide communication and networking support
- Update and maintain documentation related to mission systems
- Report system threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents
- Implement necessary security patches and updates
- Perform analysis to identify system performance issues
Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (3 years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration
- Proficiency in LINUX and Windows operating systems
- Prior military communications experience is desired
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security + CE, Cisco CCNA Security, or Microsoft Windows certification are preferred
Additional Requirements:
- A physical exam is required upon offer acceptance
- Experience working at overseas and geographically separated locations is desirable
