About the Role
The Systems Administrator I monitors the Tier 1 and/or 2 server operations/performance using appropriate software applications and tools. The Administrator serves as the Helpdesk point of contact for all theater NIPR and SIPR enterprise systems issues, creates and/or manages trouble tickets, monitors status and reports outages to NOC Operations. This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus, and a tuition reimbursement program. You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country, including obtaining and maintaining a host nation visa and driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain all aspects of server administration including, but not limited to: Active Directory Organization Units (OU), objects (Users, Computers, MAB), security groups, Windows File Server, Network Policy Server (NPS), Domain Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Print Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Servers such as GemOne.
- Modify and deactivate user accounts as necessary.
- Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR, and SIPR-REL.
- Use Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) as directed.
- Utilize vSphere clients to conduct snapshots and monitor system availability.
- Perform regular maintenance, installing IAVA approved patches to enforce server security and maintain system availability.
- Maintain system hardening by following DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Perform SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol) scans of servers and workstations to ensure STIG compliance. Upload the resulting CKLB files to eMASS as directed by IA.
- Utilize AESMP ticketing system to document troubleshooting steps prior to completing and/or escalating to the next level of support.
- Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance:
- Requires an active Secret Clearance.
- Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
- High school diploma required; Associates Degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field preferred.
- Candidates must adhere to DoD 8570.01M, maintaining at least one baseline certification and one computing environment (CE) certification. Baseline certifications cannot also be used as a Computing Environment (CE) certification.

- Experience:
- Required to be an expert in all functions of both IAT Level I and IAT Level II positions relating to a Windows Server operating system environment.
- Must apply extensive knowledge of a variety of the IA field’s concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure secure integration and operation of all enclaves (NIPR, SIPR, etc.) systems.
- At least five (5) years of practical experience with Windows Server 2012 or higher operating systems (OS) and Active Directory tools.
- Basic understanding of security principles and their application to enterprise AD environment.
- Experience with a customer service-oriented company.
- Skills & Technology Used:
- Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft productivity software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server administration (2019/2022) and Active Directory.
- Proficiency in system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and printer management.
- Proficiency with DoD security and compliance requirements (STIGs) and VMware vSphere virtualization environments.
Working Environment
- The work environment will be 95% indoors and 5% outdoors, with outdoor conditions that may exceed temperatures of 100°F. Candidates must be able to physically withstand extreme heat.
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (helmet and plated vest) which can weigh 25 to 40 lbs for extended periods of time.
