As a Fortinet Systems Engineer (SE), you will play a critical sales and technical role, focusing on customer and partner engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to support the sales team with technical expertise and provide in-depth knowledge around Fortinet solutions to our customers. In this role, you will act as a trusted adviser, proactively learning and understanding our customers' technical and business challenges, and proposing effective solutions to address their concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with enterprise customers, from initial RFIs to RFPs and RFQs as required.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in collaboration with the sales partner.
- Listen to and understand customer technical requirements, building superior solutions to outperform competitors.
- Continuously improve knowledge of Fortinet products and maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Confidently present technical features and business benefits through various means, including whiteboarding and presentations.
- Manage multiple deals simultaneously while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain accurate activity and technical information in our CRM (Salesforce).
Qualifications:
- High aptitude for security technology, specifically WAF, ADC, email security, encryption, and authentication, with desirable knowledge in network security.
- Previous experience in a pre-sales engineer role, managing the technical aspects of deals through to closure.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a track record of impactful wins.
- Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships, effectively communicating technical information to a diverse audience.
- Strong understanding of protocols and technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, API, TCP/IP, DNS, SAML, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, IPSEC, and FIREWALL technologies.
- Experience with web applications, microservices, and container technologies.
- CISSP accreditation is beneficial.
