As we expand our dynamic team, we're on the lookout for an experienced Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex systems. As a System Engineer you will produce the detail hardware, software systems design and documentation to fulfill the requirements of engineering contractors and end user specifications, often using hardware from our own extensive product range.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce engineering design documents such as Functional Design Specification, Software Design Specification, General Arrangement drawings, Bills of Materials etc in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare workpacks for detailed engineering scopes for execution by Global Engineering Centre (GEC)
- Review the completed workpacks returned from the GEC and ensure satisfactory completion.
- Get involved in system build and validation stages of the projects.
- Client facing engineering meetings and communications in support of Lead Engineering role.
- Produce the Functional Design Specification and gain client approval.
- To actively engage in site support activities where required in line with support resource requirements.
- Ensure to have required current relevant certification, training and security passes (both RA and client specific) to attend required sites.
- Ensure you have current training on all relevant products and technologies to enable you to technically support all relevant projects.
The Individual
- Degree qualified in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- FS TUV Certification would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in industrial automation systems is a must, with an ideally strong background in Rockwell Automation control systems.
- Previous hands-on experience in the Oil and Gas industry, specifically in support and maintenance of ONLINE, running systems. Power-up, commissioning, and SAT of control systems.
