The company is seeking a Test Equipment Development Systems Engineer to enhance our Engineering & Technology team. Your responsibilities will include creating automated test benches, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators, and diagnostic tools, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with aerospace defense standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom test equipment (hardware and software) for avionics, propulsion, and communication systems.
- Define technical requirements for automated test equipment (ATE), integration benches, and simulation rigs.
- Develop and automate test scripts using LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, etc.
- Integrate test platforms with telemetry, data acquisition (DAQ) systems, and real-time HIL environments.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace protocols: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN Bus, Ethernet.
- Support verification and validation activities including calibration, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide support during platform, subsystem, and environmental testing campaigns.
- Maintain technical documentation, version control, and test equipment manuals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Systems Engineering (required). Master’s degree in Test Systems or Automation Engineering (preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in aerospace, UAV, or defense test equipment development. Proven experience building ATE, integration rigs, or HIL setups for complex systems. Familiarity with safety-critical hardware/software testing and validation.
Technical Tools:
- Programming Languages: LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++.
- Tools: Data acquisition systems, signal conditioning, PCB debugging tools.
- Standards: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet.
- Systems Engineering Tools: DOORS or equivalent requirements tools.
- Hardware: Cable harnessing, interface boards, calibration equipment.
