Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom test equipment (hardware and software) for avionics, propulsion, and communication systems.
- Define technical requirements for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), integration benches, and simulation rigs.
- Develop and automate test scripts using programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, and MATLAB.
- Integrate test platforms with telemetry, data acquisition systems, and real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace protocols including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN Bus, and Ethernet.
- Support Verification and Validation (V&V) activities including calibration, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide support during platform, subsystem, and environmental testing campaigns.
- Maintain technical documentation, version control, and test equipment manuals.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Systems Engineering (required); Master’s degree in Test Systems or Automation Engineering (preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in aerospace, UAV, or defense test equipment development. Proven experience in building ATE, integration rigs, or HIL setups for complex systems.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++. Familiarity with data acquisition systems, signal conditioning, PCB debugging tools, and aerospace standards (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN, Ethernet). Experience with requirements tools such as DOORS.
