As a Systems Integrations Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the success of Canonical by managing a team of talented software engineers dedicated to integrating business systems across the company. The role involves leading the Integrations team, responsible for ensuring the reliable flow of data across various business systems, including popular SaaS solutions like Salesforce, NetSuite, and GSuite. You'll leverage Python and Go, along with open source tools like Airbyte and Temporal, to automate business processes and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and hire a team of software engineers
- Design and deliver engineering solutions utilizing Go, Python, and open source tools
- Seek improvements in established processes and engineering solutions
- Collaborate with business customers to understand their data and integration needs
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience as a software developer in Python
- Excellent understanding of integration patterns
- Hands-on engineering management or team lead experience
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
- Willingness to travel to international destinations 2-4 times per year
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with Go as a high-level programming language
- Background in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field
