Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Test Engineer to conduct end-to-end system tests on the Zero-Trust Autonomous Secure Platform across different UAV platforms, ensuring safety and resilience of autonomous systems.
  • Validate security, safety, and resilience of autonomous systems through end-to-end testing, simulations, and UAVs.
  • Maintain UxV fleet readiness, perform hardware/software integration, and support ROS2 debugging.
  • Deliver technical reports, documentation, and issue tracking to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Plan and execute test procedures to verify software and system performance at all integration levels on the vehicle.
  • Create detailed technical reports outlining the outcomes of tests and concise documentation on recreating system tests.
  • Integrate UAV subsystems (such as propulsion, navigation, and payload) and perform validation tests.
  • Test various payloads (e.g., cameras, sensors, LIDAR) and ensure proper integration and functionality.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 2+ years of systems integration or testing and verification experience in UAVs.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 for autonomous swarm UAV development.
  • Excellent knowledge of UAV hardware (e.g., Pixhawk) and open-source software (e.g., Ardupilot, PX4).
  • Hands-on experience in C/C++/Python with a clear understanding of OS fundamentals and strong computer science skills.
  • Knowledge of different UAV communication protocols (e.g., Mavlink, Ethernet, CAN, UART).
  • Experience in drone piloting and operations, with good working knowledge of UAV safety regulations.

Education and Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Automation, or a relevant discipline with 2+ years of research or industry experience.
