Tactical Data Link Engineer

About the Job: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems Engineer. This position focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and interoperable communication systems for military applications. These systems allow platforms like aircraft, ships, and ground units to share tactical information in real-time, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design and define the architecture of tactical communication systems.
• Ensure secure and resilient communication for warfighters, including selecting hardware and software components.
• Plan and configure TDL networks (Link 16, Link 22, etc.) to ensure seamless data exchange.
• Analyze data transmitted through TDLs, identify communication issues, and optimize system performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant military standards (MIL-STDs) and conduct system testing and evaluation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
• Clearance Required: Secret.
• 3+ years of experience supporting C4I Tactical Data Link systems (Link-11, Link-16, Link-22).
• Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers.

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR).
• Completion of DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.
• DISAM International Affairs Certification Level 1 or above.

Salary Range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 per year. The total compensation package may include additional compensation elements to be discussed during the hiring process.
