Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end VAT compliance and advisory engagements for clients, particularly in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
- Build and maintain effective client relationships to support the delivery of VAT return compliance.
- Utilize data and analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) to enhance VAT compliance deliverables.
- Apply structured thinking to dissect complex issues, identify risks, and develop practical solutions.
- Understand how your work aligns with the broader project objectives and contributes to overall strategy.
- Uphold professional and technical standards in line with tax/audit guidance and the Firm's code of conduct.
- Collaborate with team leadership to ensure quality, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Mentor and develop skills in colleagues while addressing any conflicts or issues through difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5-6 years of UAE VAT experience, particularly managing VAT compliance and advisory matters within the real estate and hospitality sectors.
- Proven ability to effectively manage client relationships.
- Experience with data and analytics tools to support VAT compliance.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with structured thinking.
- A commitment to upholding professional and technical standards.
- The ability to foster team development and mentor others.
