The company is currently seeking a Teacher - Computer Science to join our growing family of schools at the start of Term 2 (January 2027). Responsibilities

Key Task:
To deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues and work flexibly to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the school community.
- Develop positive relationships with parents and caregivers to enhance students’ happiness and academic outcomes.
- Work alongside curriculum support staff to support children’s development.

Teaching and Learning:
- Maintain a clear understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom provision and learning resources, creating displays to enhance a positive learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and present lessons tailored to the needs of the entire ability range within the class.
- Motivate students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess student progress in line with school assessments and provide necessary adjustments to meet developmental needs.
- Liaise with other professionals as required, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
- Embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:
- Take responsibility for the progress of a class and ensure compliance with assessment and recording requirements.
- Use assessment data to inform planning, provision, and intervention efforts.
- Provide feedback to parents regarding students’ progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour Management and Duties:
- Implement the school’s behavior policy effectively.
- Manage classes efficiently, adapting approaches to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
- Maintain positive relationships with pupils and establish authority as per school policy.
- Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Uphold high behavioral expectations, promoting self-control and independence among learners.
- Perform all duties as directed in accordance with school policy.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events.
- Help organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents about student achievements and well-being using appropriate school systems.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly Extra-Curricular Activity (ECA) each term.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:
- 1-2 years of teaching experience.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to the holistic education of children.
- High level of professionalism, showing consideration for child well-being.
- Recent and active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community.
- A positive, solution-focused attitude towards work.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or appropriate police clearance.
