Responsibilities
As Teamlead Research and Design, you will own several key areas:
- The Team and the Direction: Lead the research and design team to develop a coherent vision for an AI-native product that facilitates agentic commerce. Your involvement in the work will set a high standard for others.
- The End-to-End Experience: Designers on your team will manage the complete customer journey rather than isolated design elements, ensuring a cohesive experience that builds trust and drives performance.
- Agentic Experience Design: You will define how agents will perform, when they will engage, and ensure transparency and control in the user experience.
- An AI-Native Design System: Develop a machine-readable, token-driven design system that accommodates AI tools for consistent, high-fidelity design outcomes.
- The Research Agenda: Own and direct the research on market trends regarding agentic and B2B commerce, addressing user behavior changes and issues of trust and privacy.
- The Craft Bar: Maintain high standards for design quality and fidelity while enabling your team to work at speed.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in building AI-powered or agentic products, with concrete examples of products, prototypes, or agents you have contributed to.
- A strong portfolio showcasing commercially shipped products with demonstrated user or business impact.
- Experience leading product design and user research, carefully managing the complete product experience while engaging in hands-on research and design efforts.
- A solid background in utilizing user, market, and industry research to drive product strategy.
- Practical AI fluency that informs the research and design process, including experience with design systems tailored for AI generation.
- Experience in leading and mentoring designers and researchers, setting professional standards and collaborating with Product Management and other disciplines.
- Experience in e-commerce, preferably in B2B settings, with a focus on complex buyer-seller interactions.
