Technical Account Manager

About the Job
As a Technical Account Manager at Alibaba Cloud, you will act as a customer advocate, providing proactive services to improve the health and stability of customers' on-cloud IT operations within assigned accounts, as part of the enterprise support plan. Your role will focus on ensuring customers successfully operate and realize the value of Alibaba Cloud products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Increasing customer satisfaction, reducing support costs, and fostering awareness around product improvements.
• Functioning as a trusted advisor by understanding customers' business challenges and needing best practices, while driving the adoption of Alibaba Cloud solutions.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for aftersales delivery of proactive services, best practice advice, and guidance, acting as the customer’s technical advocate within Alibaba Cloud.
• Coordinating with account management, support, consulting, and engineering teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical queries.
• Utilizing a deep understanding of products and technologies to help customers avoid issues, mitigate risks, and manage changes and incidents.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience, with substantial experience in Java development.
• Background in IT, computer science, or cloud computing, and good knowledge of networking, servers, storage systems, enterprise applications, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture design methodologies and practices in application/websites.
• Proven experience in customer-facing positions as a technology consultant.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technical architecture, including cloud migration and distributed system design.
• Experience with Microservices, Containers, and/or Serverless technologies (including Istio, Docker, Kubernetes, and Mesos tools).
• Familiarity with major cloud computing vendors such as AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure; knowledge of Alibaba Cloud is a plus.
• Self-motivated, quick learner who can work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; ability to speak and write Mandarin or Arabic at a professional level is an advantage.
