In this role, the Technical Application Engineer will be responsible for business development of GA Market, products prequalification, competitor and GA market understanding, L2 technical support, and customer intimacy with clients in Utilities and Oil & Gas. They will closely coordinate their activities with the company sales, engineering, and services, reporting to the GA TAE Leader MENAT.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in Grid Automation Domain Activity, focusing on protection relays for Transmission & distribution and control systems such as SCADA-SCMS.
- Provide technical application support and L2 Customer support.
- Oversee prequalification and launch of products & solutions, competitor mapping, and NPI planning.
- Coordinate Technical Marketing and ITO with sales & tendering teams.
- Manage obsoletion and collaborate with After sales/support teams.
- Develop internal expertise for cross-functional teams.
- Conduct site visits and testing as necessary for major events or troubleshooting.
- Deliver technical support to clients in the region by addressing technical queries, developing customized solutions, and analyzing field performance.
- Play a key role in product launches, presentations, discussions, spec-in activities, exhibitions, and site trials.
- Investigate and resolve product issues reported by customers (L2).
- Assist the Tendering team and Management during contract negotiations.
- Enhance awareness of GA solutions while tracking evolving customer specifications & requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent power systems engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning or application of Protection & Control products, and in engineering projects within the Grid Automation field, including site experience in control systems (PSA).
- Extensive experience with the company or equivalent non-the company Protection & Automation products.
- Mandatory site testing & commissioning experience.
- Background in Utilities and Industrial/O&G Applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
- Knowledge & experience in protection relays, substation automation, transformer monitoring & diagnostics, and power systems.
