In this role, the Technical Application Engineer will be responsible for business development of the GA Market, including products prequalification, competitor analysis, and GA market understanding. The engineer will provide L2 technical support and maintain customer intimacy with clients in Utilities and O&G sectors. This position will closely coordinate activities with the company sales, engineering, and services, reporting to the GA TAE Leader MENAT.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Technical Marketing, creation of opportunities based on installed base, and market information.
- Provide application support (L2) by delivering technical assistance to clients, developing customized solutions, and analyzing field performance.
- Play a key role in product launches, approvals, and presentations through marketing efforts, ensuring product compliance with regional strategies.
- Investigate and resolve product problems reported by customers (L2) and support local actions for major non-quality issues.
- Collaborate with the Tendering team to study customer's technical and commercial requirements, assisting management during contract negotiations.
- Enhance awareness of GA solutions and obtain competitor data while tracking evolving customer specifications and requirements.
- Monitor product obsoletions and new product availability, providing customer support aligned with regional strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning protection products, applications, and engineering projects in the Grid Automation field, with site experience.
- Extensive experience in Protection & Automation products and a solid understanding of competitors’ products.
- Mandatory site testing and commissioning experience for analysis, demonstrations, and installations.
- Experience in Utilities, Industrial/O&G applications is essential, with preference given to candidates with O&G experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% as required.
- Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
