We’re always looking for talented individuals who are passionate about making an impact. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role
We're hiring a Technical Buyer to manage day-to-day tactical purchasing for our robotics venture, serving as the critical link between our engineering and supply chain departments.

This role is responsible for issuing and expediting purchase orders, managing supplier delivery commitments, and resolving day-to-day procurement issues to keep production supplied on time. It sits within the Supply Chain pillar, working alongside Sourcing (which owns strategic contracts and supplier selection) to execute against agreed pricing and terms.

You will work closely with Planning, Inventory Management, and Manufacturing Engineering to translate material requirements into timely, accurate purchase orders, and to resolve supply issues before they impact the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end procurement for technical components (e.g., machined parts, PCBs, sensors, actuators, motors, and composite materials) required for robotics assembly.
  • Partner closely with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to understand technical specifications, quality requirements, and project timelines.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure suppliers have accurate data for manufacturing.
  • Convert approved purchase requisitions and MRP-generated demand into purchase orders in the ERP system, within pricing, terms, and supplier agreements.
  • Monitor open PO status, track delivery schedules, and proactively flag late deliveries, shortages, or quality holds to Planning and Production Supervision.
  • Work alongside the Quality department to address non-conformances, initiate root cause analysis with suppliers, and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Resolve day-to-day supplier issues (invoice mismatches, packing discrepancies, delivery exceptions) in coordination with Receiving and Accounts Payable.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Sourcing Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing, hardware, or start-up/scale-up environment.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Mandarin is strictly required to facilitate communication and negotiation with Chinese based suppliers.
  • Mandatory experience in a complex manufacturing environment such as Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, or Robotics.
  • Proven experience managing complex procurement and logistics from China to UAE/GCC region including all shipping, customs, and import regulations.
  • Technical Aptitude: A foundation in engineering (degree or practical experience). You must be comfortable reading technical blueprints and understanding basic mechanical/electrical engineering concepts.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) for purchase order creation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing a high volume of POs and delivery dates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to translate technical requirements into commercial terms for suppliers, and vice versa.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, paired with Supply Chain experience.
  • Familiarity with quality management frameworks.
  • Certification in purchasing or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, APICS/ASCM) considered an advantage.
