About the Job:
The Technical Competence Manager at Hitachi Energy is responsible for leading and managing complex projects to ensure their successful execution and delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the project team, establishing project execution approaches, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring activities for both internal and external resources.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans in collaboration with the Project Controls department, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
  • Managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices, including monitoring and controlling progress, resources, and financials.
  • Overseeing project financials, including invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow, while identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Acting as the key contact for customers and an escalation point for project issues, while building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentoring team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

This role focuses on developing and deploying improved training management systems to track, monitor, and measure the effectiveness of training courses, as well as identifying and managing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in training and development strategies.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience with a proven track record in managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
