What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing and coordinating the execution of design deliverables across multiple projects.
- Overseeing the preparation of designs, technical documentation including drawings, reports, and tender packages. Supporting Managers and others in developing and implementing resource plans.
- Reviewing and approving discipline staffing budget estimates and staffing assignment schedules on each project. Maintaining appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, as needed.
- Monitoring the quality and progress of the discipline on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied.
- Establishing standards and procedures manuals for the discipline and recommending improvements to department procedures. Recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating prospective employees, offering personnel development, conducting performance evaluations, counseling employees, and taking corrective actions as required.
- Ensuring that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures. Ensuring performance within overhead budgets authorized for the discipline.
- Actively participating in and promoting the Quality Improvement Program. May head a committee within the discipline, striving to motivate and educate the assigned personnel.
- Participating in design reviews, value engineering workshops, technical and safety coordination meetings. Ensuring compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Monitoring progress and performance of the design team against schedule, cost, and quality metrics. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Supporting the resolution of technical challenges during design development to ensure targets are met.
- Promoting digital engineering workflows and quality assurance processes.
- Assisting with internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and development of standard policies and procedures. Performing any other responsibilities associated with the role.
- Attending all design meetings to actively contribute, propose effective design solutions, and validate the Minutes of Meetings.
- Presenting proposed solutions across all relevant disciplines to ensure alignment and integration.
- Facilitating clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure the implementation of robust technical solutions.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or a related discipline.
- Over 20 years of experience in design, including 10 years in technical coordination roles for site infrastructure and landscape projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams in large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliverables simultaneously.
- Proficient in design and document control tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.).
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience working on infrastructure or large-scale projects in the Middle East.
- Working knowledge of digital design tools and platforms such as BIM, Navisworks, or similar.
- Understanding project controls including cost, risk, and schedule integration.
- Experience working with government or semi-government clients.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS, PE, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- KSA Driving License.
