Job Description:
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the project team.
- Ensure that all technical aspects of the project align with project goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design and engineering processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders for seamless integration of technical solutions.
- Facilitate communication between different technical disciplines and project teams.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to assure the highest standards of technical excellence.
- Conduct regular technical audits and reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the project lifecycle.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex design and engineering problems.
- Manage technical resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure technical teams are adequately staffed and equipped to meet project demands.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to meet their technical requirements and expectations.
- Represent the project in technical meetings and presentations.
- Assist in the development and management of project budget and schedule from a technical perspective.
- Ensure that technical activities are completed on time and within budget.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 20+ years of experience in design review, engineering, and technical management in large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects (e.g., railways, highways, bridges, airports).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to effectively engage with clients, design consultants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience in sustainable design and construction innovations.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and current technology.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Experience in conducting technical audits and reviews.
- Familiarity with budget and schedule management from a technical perspective.
