Job Description:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that team members receive clear instructions and guidance.
  • Assign work to professional staff and provide appropriate training.
  • Prepare work programs to translate project objectives into detailed plans, managing work assignments for the project team.
  • Perform and manage complex urban planning and design tasks, including research and analysis.
  • Review, monitor, and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting developments.
  • Develop technical inputs for high-quality plans, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintain coordination with external agencies to facilitate a shared understanding of the Government’s development mandate and master plan objectives.
  • Support business development activities, including bid preparation and content development.
  • Prepare business presentations to promote the Design and Planning studio’s work.
  • Support key account management and nurture client relationships per business strategy.

Required Skills:

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 18 years of progressive urban planning and design experience on various projects.
  • Experience and engagement with clients in the Middle East is a must.
  • Proven experience in producing master plans, conceptual designs, and illustrative layouts.
  • Creative thinking and a strong understanding of current best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of local statutes and planning rules and regulations.
  • Ability to reconcile conflicting demands while representing diverse interests in the planning and design process.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capability on projects.
  • Proficiency in various design software and 3D modeling tools.

Desired Skills:

  • Professional certifications such as AICP or RTPI.
