Responsibilities
- Lead the Technical Reforms in attaining the required operations maturity for MCFM.
- Deliver the transformation objectives for the new mission critical program.
- Oversee the critical systems availability serving the critical environment for the regions.
- Manage the uninterrupted supply of power to the active infrastructure available within the sites.
- Oversee floor space assignments for all critical facilities for incoming racks and critical system equipment.
- Develop appropriate and accurate records for all assets under the organization, including best efforts for inherited assets.
- Oversee the management and availability of critical systems in data centers, including power systems, cooling, fire detection, and environmental controls.
- Lead SLA delivery and service management for facilities, ensuring redundancy and backup systems are functional.
- Manage regional facilities operations, contractors, and resources to maintain stability and compliance with service levels.
- Oversee Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct single point of failure reviews and lead change management initiatives.
- Ensure smooth running of the Critical Environment Work Authorization (CEWA) processes, constantly identifying gaps and suggesting improvements.
- Operate a centralized monitoring control center for faults and performance metrics.
- Manage the Critical Facilities Helpdesk and ensure SLA and KPI compliance.
- Lead asset and lifecycle management for all TFM assets, tracking warranties and end-of-life documentation.
- Develop and maintain a structured asset database for TFM infrastructure.
- Plan and scope projects for asset rehabilitation, upgrades, expansions, and replacements.
- Establish specifications and oversee approval for new products and technologies.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and documentation of equipment in line with project requirements.
- Develop CAPEX project strategies, focusing on operations maturity and resilience.
- Lead design and execution of projects involving electrical, mechanical, fire, and civil expansions.
- Oversee procurement and ensure equipment meets performance and reliability standards.
- Manage the project management office, tracking rehabilitation efforts and project delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience in Technical Facility Design & Implementation within the Telecommunication industry.
- Bachelor Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
- Masters Degree in Engineering or Electric Power.
- Relevant certification in Advanced Project Management (PMP or Prince II).
- Relevant certification in change management or any other relevant certification.
