Responsibilities:
- Design and implement privacy-aware technical solutions that leverage data privacy foundations and REST API integrations with OneTrust.
- Oversee end-to-end technical delivery for privacy-centric applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to transform complex privacy and consent management requirements into scalable system designs.
- Develop reusable REST API patterns and integration components for data classification and consent management.
- Review technical designs and code to align with privacy by design principles.
- Guide teams in error handling, monitoring, and alerting around privacy-related services.
- Optimize service performance and reliability for privacy components.
- Collaborate with product owners to define technical acceptance criteria that integrate privacy controls.
- Document solution designs and integration patterns clearly for engineering and risk teams.
- Provide technical guidance on secure coding and privacy enforcement practices.
- Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis to improve design and operational practices.
- Engage in knowledge sharing sessions to keep teams updated on privacy technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Seven to ten years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise applications, with a minimum of three years focused on privacy-centric or security-sensitive systems.
- Strong experience with data privacy foundation concepts such as consent lifecycle, data minimization, and retention strategies.
- Proven expertise in building and consuming REST APIs, including authentication frameworks and performance optimization.
- Practical experience with OneTrust modules such as consent management and data subject request workflows.
- Understanding of industry essentials and the ability to apply privacy and security controls in business processes.
- Experience in hybrid work environments and using collaboration tools is a plus.
- Background in automating privacy checks in continuous integration pipelines is desirable.
Certifications Required:
- Certified OneTrust Professional or equivalent privacy technology certification preferred.
- General data protection or privacy certification such as CIPP or CIPM is a plus.
